CityBridge is for people aged 16 and older. This page explains the safety tools in the app, how members aged 16–17 will be protected, and how to get help. CityBridge is a beta preview: real accounts are not open yet, so protections marked planned below are designed but not yet operating, and everything you do in the preview stays in your own browser.
You can block from a member's profile or from a conversation. Blocking is immediate and mutual: a blocked member cannot see your profile in Discover, open your profile page, send you a connection request or message you, and any pending request between you is withdrawn. These rules are enforced in the database, not only in the interface.
You can report a member, a conversation, an individual message or an event. A report asks for a reason and lets you add details as evidence.
Reports are stored for the team, and reports involving a member aged 16–17 are prioritised. A moderation queue with status tracking and a history of actions taken is planned. CityBridge is a small team, so reviews happen as capacity allows rather than around the clock.
Members aged 16–17 are placed in a separate tier. Adults and 16–17 members cannot discover, view, connect with, message or invite one another, and that separation is applied in the database across discovery, profile viewing, connection requests, messaging, conversations, events and notifications.
Accounts aged 16–17 do not store precise coordinates, never show a distance, hide the exact city by default, and are limited to the Ages 16–17 event audience. Events for that audience must name a public venue; residential addresses are rejected.
Keep conversations inside CityBridge until you trust someone. Never share your home address, school timetable, live location, financial details or identity documents. If someone asks you to move to another app, asks for photos, or asks you to keep your friendship secret, that is a warning sign — block and report them.
Tell a parent, guardian or another adult you trust before meeting anyone in person, meet in a busy public place during the day, and bring a friend.
Meet in a public place, tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back, arrange your own transport, keep your phone charged, and leave if you feel uncomfortable. You never owe anyone an explanation for ending a meeting early.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. CityBridge cannot provide emergency assistance. Once you are safe, report the member in the app so we have a record.
A Verified badge means the CityBridge team confirmed that member's identity or affiliation through a manual check. It is never awarded automatically, it is not a recommendation, and it does not mean the person is safe to meet.
Behaviour expectations live on the Community Standards page. For safety or support issues, use the Contact page — safety reports are read before other messages.
