Terms of Use

These terms describe how CityBridge may be used. They are written and maintained by the CityBridge team. They are not legal advice, they have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and they make no claim of certification or compliance with any particular law or regulation.

Minimum age: 16

CityBridge is intended for people aged 16 and older. Do not use CityBridge if you are younger than 16.

Sign-up asks for a date of birth so eligibility can be confirmed and accounts aged 16–17 can be placed in the protected tier. Your birthday and exact age stay private.

Account eligibility

An account requires a confirmed email address or a Google sign-in, one account per person, accurate profile information, and agreement to these terms. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in details private.

Acceptable use

Do not harass, threaten or bully anyone; impersonate a person or organisation; misrepresent your age or identity; upload unlawful, hateful or sexual content; solicit money; share other members' information; scrape or resell data; send unsolicited advertising; or attempt to break, probe or overload the service.

Adults must not attempt to contact members aged 16–17, or to present themselves as a 16–17 member. Attempting to circumvent age separation is a serious violation.

Reporting and blocking

CityBridge provides report and block controls on profiles, conversations, individual messages and events. Blocking removes contact between two members, and reports are stored for review, with reports involving a member aged 16–17 prioritised.

CityBridge is a small team, so reports are reviewed as capacity allows rather than around the clock. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Events and meeting people

Events are created by members, not by CityBridge. We do not vet members, hosts or venues and we run no background checks. You decide who you meet and where.

Events will carry an audience of Ages 16–17 or 18+, and hosts must not create events for an audience they do not belong to. Events for the Ages 16–17 audience must name a public venue; residential addresses are not acceptable. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and use the reporting tools if something feels wrong.

Suspension and account removal

When real accounts operate, we may limit, suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, that appears to belong to someone under 16, or that puts other members at risk — in serious cases without prior warning. You will be able to appeal by contacting the team.

You will also be able to deactivate or permanently delete your own account at any time. Deleting an account is intended to remove the profile, messages, RSVPs and uploaded photos associated with it; see the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is, without warranty of uninterrupted availability. Features change during a beta, and we may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
